For more than a decade we built our clients’ websites on popular open-source content management systems. They did the job – but every year the cost of keeping them safe grew. Security updates every few weeks. Plugins that conflicted after an update. Bots hammering login pages day and night. And every now and then, a long evening restoring a site that someone had broken into.
In 2026 we decided our clients deserved better. So we built our own website platform – and we are moving every client website onto it.
What was wrong with the old way
Big, general-purpose systems are built to do everything for everyone. A small business website uses a tiny part of that – but has to carry, update and secure all of it. Add a page builder, a slider, a form plugin, a gallery plugin and a security plugin, and you have dozens of moving parts written by different people, each of which can break or be attacked.
What we built instead
Our platform does exactly what a local business website needs, and nothing it does not:
- Pages, projects, blog and forms – edited in a simple editor by you or by us.
- SEO built in – titles, descriptions, sitemaps, structured data and redirects without extra plugins.
- Hand-coded design – no page builder markup, so pages are light and fast.
- Security by default – far fewer moving parts that could be attacked, and our team keeps an eye on every site.
- Careful updates – every update is tested and backed up before it goes live.
- Daily off-site backups – a full restore takes minutes, not an evening.
What it means for you
Faster websites. Our first client sites on the new platform score 100 for SEO and best practices in Google Lighthouse, with mobile performance of up to 97 – and speed helps both rankings and conversions.
Fewer emergencies. With no plugin zoo to patch, there is far less that can go wrong – and if anything does, a restore is quick.
Tools that fit your business. Because we know the platform inside out, we can add exactly what you need: a material calculator for a hauling company, a product catalog for a pool store, coupons for a plumber or a bouquet builder for a florist.
You stay in control. You can still edit texts and photos, add projects and posts, and see your inquiries – in an editor that is simpler than before.
Moving existing websites
We are moving our existing clients step by step. Every move keeps your content and – just as important – your addresses and rankings: every old URL is redirected to its new page. Most clients get a refreshed design along the way.
